Current Emails

On this page [below] are the contents of coming Sundays' emails with bullet-points about the Unreached People for each Sunday.  This is the People group featured by Global Prayer Digest for prayer on that same Sunday.

As you lead your congregation in prayer, you and they will be joining 70,000 others praying for the same Unreached People.


HOW CAN I PRAY?  Suggestions:

Please keep in mind, prayer is most effective when it is from the heart. The way to insure that, is through earnest worship. When your congregation worships God they reaffirm that he is the center of their lives. They surrender their hearts to him afresh. Then they're ready to pray for the Unreached Peoples. Our prayer is most earnest when we have been with the Master, at his feet, in true worship. Why not join prayer for the Unreached to worship? The Clydesdale is a figure of the worship. The wagon is the intercession. [Well, all metaphores break down somewhere!]

  • Lord, give this Unreached People, and in fact all 10,000 Unreached Peoples, dreams and visions. Reveal to them how you provided for their entrance into your wonder kingdom. Invite them to turn themselves over to you completely and receive eternal life.
  • Lord we acknowledge, you have already done your part. You have provided the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross as the more-than-enough payment for the sin of the world. We confess we have not made the salvation of the Unreached our second highest priority, second only to worshiping you. After 2000 years of heroic missionary effort, we who are not missionaries admit we have been too self-absorbed to turn our whole-hearted attention and compassion toward the Unreached. Now we change our hearts. We will pray with passion that you might work your wonders, intervening in this tragic situation, and bringing the Unreached into your sheepfold.
  • Lord touch the hearts of pastors throughout the world. Cause them to grieve with us over the 2.4 billion persons who belong to the Unreached Peoples who have little or no gospel penetration. Cause our pastors to lead their congregations in prayer for the UPs that they might be saved. And bless them with the joy of knowing they are in the center of your will in doing this.
  • Note:  You might pray against specific situations that prevent a particular UP from being open to the gospel.
  • You might pray the Lord of the harvest that he send forth more laborers.
  • You might pray for more evangelistic tools to be created so the believers or the missionaries will be better equipped to do the job more effectively.
  • The information in the weekly emails might give you clues about how to pray.
  • God wants to hear from YOU. Your own heart is precious to him. Pray what's on your heart! Jesus gave us a great guide for this kind of prayer in his instruction to the twelve. (Mat.6:9,10)

The AVAR Peoples

> They number 800,000.
> They are almost 100% Muslim, mostly Sunni Muslims.
> Only one in 10,000 is a Christian.

> They live in valleys of the Caucasus Mountains in southern Russia.
> Only 15% of their land is ok for farming.
> There are 15 Avar people groups.
> Their history is filled with bloodshed.
> They have high family values.

> WORSHIP God. This is a powerful way to begin.
> PRAY, asking God to reveal Jesus to the Avar as their lover and Savior.
.> PRAY: “Father, may the Avar believe you and trust you fully. May they enter your wonderful kingdom. May your will [salvation] be done among them.
> PRAY that pastors all over the world will lead their congregations in prayer for the 10,000 Unreached Peoples, whose members number 2.4 billion persons.

SUGGESTION FOR MOTIVATING THE CONGREGATION:
God has put us believers into a magnificent story, a true narrative, close to his own heart. He has pursued us and won us by his glorious gospel. But 40% of the world's population belong to people groups who resist the gospel, out of loyalty to their dead ancestors, or their living relatives. They do not know Creator God. God relies on us to bring them the truth. He has made us powerful in prayer.

The BATS (Tushetians)

[ 70,000 other believers are praying today (Sunday) for them. ]


> They number 3,400 in the beautiful Caucasus Mountains of Georgia.
> The Tushetians are mostly nominal Georgian Orthodox Christians with old pagan practices. (Other Bats tribes are Sunni Muslims).
> There are very few Bible-believing churches among the Tushetians.

> They have stone shrines covered with the horns of sacrificed goats, and a bell.
> Women are not allowed near the shrines.
> They produce Gouda (a famous salty cheese).
> They herd sheep and cattle.

> WORSHIP God who made all tribes, using Ps.86:9,10.
> PRAY, asking God to send missionaries who will help the Bats drop their pagan beliefs.
.> PRAY: “Father, may the Bats believe you and trust you fully. May they enter your wonderful kingdom. May your will [salvation] be done among them.
> PRAY that pastors all over the world will lead their congregations in prayer for the 10,000 Unreached Peoples, whose members number 2.4 billion persons.

SUGGESTION FOR MOTIVATING THE CONGREGATION:
It is clear, God is waiting for us to pray together for the 10,000 Unreached Peoples! He delights in giving us a role in his plan for salvation of the Unreached Peoples.

The KARACHAY

> They number 1,400 in Kazakhstan, 153,000 in all countries.
> They are mostly Islamic mixed with traditional practices
> Fewer than 100 are Christians. They have parts of the Bible in their language.
> There is no mission agency working among the Karachay.

> Over a span of 800 years the Karachay were pushed to a safer location, four times.
> They are family centered, led by a council of both men and women.
> They are hospitable.

> WORSHIP God. This is a powerful way to begin before interceding.
> PRAY, asking God to reveal Jesus to the Karachay as their lover and Savior.
.> PRAY asking God to send Russian missionaries to them.
> PRAY that pastors all over the world will lead their congregations in prayer for the 10,000 Unreached Peoples, whose members number 2.4 billion persons.

SUGGESTION FOR MOTIVATING THE CONGREGATION:
Are you [your congregation] unconvinced about the Unreached Peoples needing salvation? Are you thinking God will draw them into the kingdom if he wants them?

Jesus sent us to tell them the good news! So, yes, they do need salvation. And he wants to involve all of us… together. Let’s pray the Lord of the harvest that he send laborers into his harvest. Is God sending you?
