Disciples of Jesus realize, our first priority is worshiping God in spirit and in truth. The more genuinely we surrender our hearts to the Lord, the more rewarding our worship is. The second priority is to get people into the kingdom, saved. Not just our neighbors, we must reach out even to the uttermost parts of the earth!

If you want me to, I will supply you with motivational information, at no cost, so you can pray briefly but earnestly for the 10,000 Unreached Peoples. I want to bring their plight more clearly to your spiritual eyes. I believe you will be rejoicing when you discern how powerful your prayer is.


Many others will be praying worldwide for the same purpose, even the same People Group, on the same day!

Praying will give you a keener sense of divine purpose. You will be vitally involved in a dynamic emphasis on reaching the remaining 40% of the world through prayer.


The awesome facts are these:

• 2.4 billion persons belong to 10,000 people groups who have little or no gospel.
• That’s 40% of the world’s population!
• 90% of all missionaries go to people groups that are already reached.
• So only 10% are going where they are most crucially needed.
• The average church member has little if any understanding of this situation. Members are not praying about this.
• Missionaries are needed. Email me if you want information on becoming a missionary.
• An unreached people group is one in which the population is expanding faster than the gospel is spreading.


Two thousand years is too long!

Two thousand years after Jesus came, ten thousand ethnic groups are still waiting for the gospel. Two thousand years is a long time. Too long! I believe there is something missing. Widespread prayer. Prayer is not "the least we can do." Prayer is the most powerful thing we can do. Incidentally, prayer is not enough if God is telling us to do something in addition to prayer! 

I believe, when enough of us pray, God will sweep around our shortcomings and cause the missionary effort to succeed.

You are absorbed in your daily responsibilities, of course. You are so close to all the joy and grief involved in that, you may not realize this: Nothing great is going to happen quickly on the world landscape unless God’s people pray for the unreached peoples!  The world is in fear and turmoil today because we have failed to share the gospel fruitfully with the Muslim peoples!

I am convinced God will do wonders for our mission effort, both sovereignly and through his faithful missionaries, when we, the Church, ask him to.

If you decide to pray, you will not be alone.  There are 70,000 who pray for the Unreached People suggested by Global Prayer Digest. We will be praying, each Sunday, for the same People group recommended by the Digest.

I will email as many pastors, leaders and other believers as I can. Christians in the United States of America, Canada, Mexico and in Asia, Africa, South America, and Australia. I'm asking them to pray. I'm asking them to lead their followers in prayer for the Unreached Peoples.  And I’ll send each of them, a reminder every week, giving a few facts to help them to pray with understanding.

Will this become a worldwide prayer movement?   Only the Holy Spirit of God can do that.  Our prayer is powerful only because of God!

You’re invited in at the very beginning! This is all just starting. Very few are involved so far, as of March 2008.

And if you’d like to work toward the reaching of those 2.4 billion who don’t know the Lord, there is a way for you to help significantly as a volunteer!!  If you have internet access, you qualify. Age is not a factor. Neither is experience. 


Here are some suggestions for praying for
an Unreached People group,
or for the UPs in general.


They are only suggestions. Follow the Holy Spirit. But these might help you get started.

• Mat.6:9,10. Use these first three clauses in the Lord's Prayer Guide. Realize these are three imperatives. Greek scholars tell us they are in the Greek imperative mode. So, they are commands! Then Jesus is inviting us to imitate our heavenly Father, who brought the universe into being by his simple commands to exist! Why would he do that? Perhaps because God has this "thing" about involving us in all or much of what he wants to do on the earth. He did give us authority, responsibility in this realm. Does it mean we can, by our commands, bring things into existence? Well, I'd say, our Father is the one who does the "work." But he uses our words. It's his power.

• Ps.67. This entire Psalm give you dramatic things to pray over the UPs. Memorize it for best results, for use anywhere, anytime... like waiting for a bus, or for your computer to boot-up.

• Ps.86:9,10. God doesn't need this reminder. But we need to realize these truths. They motivate us to be real about our praying. Our enemy wants us to doubt we are doing anything effective. Quoting God's Word is a great way to defeat him. Jesus did it in the desert at the end of his long fast.

• I'm most satisfied when I'm worshiping, or when I have just worshiped. Worship is a great way to begin praying for the UPs. By the way, those three commands from Matthew 6 (above) seem to be about worship and about intercession for the Unreached. Check it out.
