Here are the troubling statistics about the Unreached Peoples of the earth.

• There are 10,000 Unreached Peoples yet to hear the gospel.
• 2.4 billion persons belong to these People groups.
• This is 40% of the world's population!
• Over 90% of all missionaries go where there are already churches and missionaries.
• Less than 10% of missionaries go to the Unreached Peoples!
• Only a small percent of church offerings go toward reaching the Unreached Peoples.
• 100,000 members of these tribes, or People groups die every 24 hours without Jesus.

A People group is a significant number of persons, related by blood, having the same language and culture.

 An Unreached People is a People who are so united by their culture that each one will usually listen to another as he or she tells what Jesus has done in his or her life. There is no ethnic problem that makes this very unlikely to happen. 

In other words, an Unreached People group is a People group within which the gospel can readily spread, uninhibited by ethnic feelings that prevent it.
